January up in Aberdeen

Post by retro11 » Sun Jan 31, 2016 8:49 pm

A pretty quiet start to the year with the first week of it a complete wash out even the road into the East side of the Airport closed due flooding and the runway its self making the news when a hole appeared in it at the north end on the 7th resulting in reduced take off distance and no fixed wing arrivals for approx 12 HRS. New kids on the block, NHV helicopters started operations from here on the 1st using a pair of Airbus H175 (OO-NSD/OO-NSE). anyhow off we go again with the first batch of photos from me this year cheers

Great selection again this month Donald. Sunshine, snow, fog, ice - you've had it all haven't you.

That KLM being de-iced makes me feel cold! a great shot with very unusual subject matter. The striped colour scheme of the first one panned against the blurred background works very well too, you can really feel the movement.
Thanks for posting them

Yes I like that de-iced LKM shot, great catch!

That's a beautiful shot of 9H-SRT too! Love the Tyrolean shot as well, and the choppers! Bet they are fun to be in today!
