A grey day at Manchester

Post by mach one » Sat Jan 23, 2016 7:42 pm

a look at the weather forecast yesterday suggested the weather would not be to bad today so an early start saw me arrive southside at around 8.00am and it was very grey skies and very very muddy

the full frame shots were a bit dull so i was having a play and getting in tight

I did get glimpses of the sun but to make the best of it you had to shoot above and to left so shots from the rear picking up the gear

Image

at around 10AM another trek through the mud and i went over to the RVP where the light was a bit better but still duller than the forecast

Image

for some it was just another day at the office

Image

and no Manchester thread would be complete without at least one shot of the emirates A380 which is still a manchester crowd pleaser, we didn't have any rain all the time i was there but the reverse thrusters on the A380 still found some water to put on a show

Thanks for looking C&C welcome

Well done braving the mud,, well worth the effort, some great shots there.
It's a real shame but most of the south side paths become a muddy nightmare at this time of year.

I made the mistake of going to Lady lane and walking down from the end of the new runway and the bridleway at the top was a nightmare i had my walking boots on but it was a welly job for sure, i should have gone down ostlers lane/ woodend lane and gone to the mid point as i walked down nearly that far anyway so lesson learnt

I love that spot at 6.30am on a summers morning
