Stansted sunrise, a triple double! 28-9-2015

Post by andygolfer » Mon Sep 28, 2015 9:15 am

I made a dawn trip to Stansted this morning to drop off my daughter and grandson for their return flight to Italy and decided to hang around for the 2 cargo flights which were arriving soon after 7 am, both 777s, one of China Southern and the other of Qatar, the China Southern was a few minutes too early for the best light but the Qatar arrived 15 minutes later at the ideal moment for sideways morning sunlight....

first a couple of the China Southern B2042, (looks like it could do with a bath!)...

and the Qatar, A7-BFE:

a bit of dampness around the trailing edge..

also I noticed I had captured another aircraft in this pic, just imagine the sensationalist press headline if they saw this one - 'near miss at Stansted as inbound airliners avoid one another by just a few feet and almost leads to catastrophic mid air collision'

finally this was the inbound aircraft from Bologna which my daughter & grandson flew out on Ryanair, 737 EI-EFK, as I type they are about 10000ft and 10 minutes from landing at BLQ

even a ryanair 737 can look nice in the right light!

hope they brighten your Monday morning, C&C welcome
