Nice shot of the Phenom, at that angle, it looks much bigger than it really is.

Thanks for the feedback Andy - would like to say it was a deliberate catch of the LHR departure on that one but it wasn't!

Did get another double shot the same day:

LCY can produce some good results and I tried out a couple of different viewing positions for these.

Thanks Martin - very true about the Phenom - if you didn't know you would think it was a much larger aircraft.

excellent pic

Where were you, on the university side? they look too far round to be from the floating nightclub car park (I mean the nightclub floats, not the car park  ), Terazza Joanne or whatever it's called.

Thanks again.

Ha ha - like the idea of a floating car park :D

Pics 2 & 7 were from the Redgrave bridge - 3 & 4 from my flat and 1,5 & 6 were taken from the Marina lock - only my flat is private property ;)

There's some nice angles there, and the extra sunset shot is great. I think we need a Civilian Aviation meet-up round at your gaff :)

That second shot is very dramatic. Great backdrop with the high-rise buildings and the climb-out angle really works.

Thanks for the feedback PorkScratching - not sure there would be enough room at my place if everyone turned up!! Plenty of good locations around LCY to get some good angles :D

Thanks for the feedback Nighthawke - the E190s really do pull up sharply - a RJ85 went off just before and was much lower and so still in the background clutter.

Nice work for a bridge camera!

Was the first one taken in the morning or evening? Looks like a very small amount of blur I am in no way complaining about nor am I criticizing this picture, it's still ace, but I am just wondering, as that's the sort of outcome I get in awkward light with my HS10 (though not as much) and my Fuji S1800. I took that to Amsterdam, ended up throwing some of the morning ones away as I thought people probably wouldn't like them as they have a bit of blur on them. Please don't take that as me being rude.

The rest is also brilliant, the BA Embraer taking off and the Star Alliance RJ is my top faves :)

Thanks for sharing these :thumb:

Thanks James - I am very impressed with the results I get with such a small investment - saving the pennies for an upgrade :D

The first picture was taken in the evening (sun at 2 o'clock position relative to the camera) and had just gone behind a bank of cloud which made the haze become more obvious and frustratingly the camera was struggling to focus on the tail that was also moving away - hence the blur (and don't worry as I didn't take it as criticism but I need more practice :) ).

Thanks for taking the time to have a look & glad you liked them - hope you catch that elusive shot too :thumb:

Hi Dan,

Thanks for the feedback - as Andy says LCY is shut from about 1230 Saturday until about 1230 Sunday (give a take a few minutes) and traffic levels are down but there can be a few biz jet moves on Sunday pm,
