Well you certainly got used to the new equipment quickly, a very nice set.
The Icelandair is pick of the bunch for me (I see you've entered it for POTM - good luck) and I also like the China Southern/Skyteam but if only they hadn't put that gantry and light posts along there it would make backgrounds far nicer, I imagine a lot of photographers curse about that.
what new gear have you got btw?

It will certainly be sad when the MD-11s are gone. It's good you're still able to get shots of a/c on the ground at Amsterdam, unlike many British airports. Iran Air A310s aren't that common, so that's a good catch, as is the China Southern (nice to get their Skyteam liveried a/c, but I would prefer it in their own superb colours).

Nice set of pictures.
My favourite is the special livery Icelandair close-up.
Cheers

The Dc3 is nicely caught, it's just a shame the weather looks a bit dull.

I recall reading that Martinair announced to retire their MD-11 fleet next year, not sure if it's early 2016 or the end of 2016 I don't know. What with though I don't know, Triples maybe? The only one they have that's not an MD-11 is PH-MPS, the Safari 747, and the KLM Cargo 747's they operate.
I'm not 100% how the KLM cargo's work, they have 'operated by Martinair' stickers on them, do KLM just provide the aircraft, and Martinair use it on their routes with their own crew? Or is Martinair part of KLM?

I thought it was autumn this year? I'll be very happy to be wrong and have them around until 2016 though.

Good question.

The KLM Cargo 747s are operated by Martinair (they have Martinair flight numbers). KLM took full control of Martinair about 10 years ago (they had long had a partial shareholding). Since then they went cargo only, and presumably their pax services were absorbed into KLM. On that basis I guess KLM transferred their cargo ops to Martinair so all cargo operations are carried out centrally by one division.
