Two Beavers

Post by WingNut » Sun Mar 15, 2015 10:47 pm

I visited Stanley Park in Vancouver on a whim after supper yesterday and got lucky seeing these two beauties taking off
from the Vancouver Coal Harbour Seaplane Base ( CYHC ).

if it's wildlife (or anything else that might interest the members) then you can always post it in the general photography section: http://www.civilianaviation.co.uk/forum ... .php?f=129

Great stuff. I like DHC-2s, he says carefully avoiding the obvious double entendre possibility! :D

Super photos of great aircraft. I bet they sounded great too with that distinctive sound made by the propeller tips.

Thanks folks. Glad you liked them.

Canada owes a lot to the Beavers and Otters. Besides the canoe it's what opened the north and both are still coveted
that's for sure.

I never get tired of hearing something with a radial engine in it. Many have been converted to turbo power. Incredible power
but it just doesn't have the same effect.
