That's a great set Paul. The last one of the JAL 777 is particularly nice, I like the angle of it and the light.
My only comment (you did welcome them) is that I think you may have cropped some of them a bit too closely at the front end. If you look at the DHL and then the Royal Jordanian immediately below it they are almost identical angles but there's a bit more space in front of the latter and I personally think that works better. I know a lot of people do crop tightly and that is their preference, I even do it myself sometimes but then when I look back I think maybe a bit more air around the subject might have improved it particularly at the front end (a case of giving a bit of space to fly into).
Hope you don't mind the comment and I look forward to seeing some more soon, looks like you had a great day.
Andrew

Hi Andrew
I was shooting with a 100-400 so it was a case of hoping to fit them in before they became to far side on as had no hope of any side ons apart from avianca, emirates 777 and BA A380 which were shot from myrtle avenue while landing 27R there was no cropping just think I need to invest in a slighty smaller lens for myrtle avenue

thanks for comments I know what you mean.

Paul - I used to have a canon 70-300 which is a pretty good all round lens, you could look for one of those as that would cover the full range that you need to avoid any lens changing in the field which would eliminate the risk of dust getting in during the changeover, something which I am now paranoid about following several camera cleans

I know what you mean about the 100-400 being a bit borderline at Myrtle Ave / Cains Lane.
Otherwise as another suggestion I now have a sigma 18-250 which is even better as an all rounder alongside my 100-400. When I go abroad I only take the 18-250 and am pleased with the results, I find the 100-400 is a bit much to cart around on aeroplanes! The 18-250 is very flexible as an only lens, might be worth thinking about.
