Bristol-Lulsgate - November trip

I had a very pleasant day at Lulsgate with wall-to-wall sunshine and only the lightest (3 knots) of breeze. With the winter schedule now in operation and ski flights yet to kick-in trade was markedly down compared to the summer but thankfully a handful of bizjets saved the day from Easyjet tedium. Hopefully the recovering world economy will see the resumption of some of those lost flights : Newark - Continental, Paris - Air France, Frankfurt - Lufthansa etc....

A selection of images taken from Winters Lane.

and a great day for overflights, including a New Zealand registered Gulfstream 6 descending in to London and this USAF C-17A Globemaster

If you're a regular at Lulsgate you may have noticed that I've airbrushed out a few of the airport aerials and masts that I find quite distracting when otherwise it would be the beautiful North Somerset countryside in the background.

Thanks for looking and a few more can be found at http://www.pbase.com/airpicimages/bristol_311008

Great Photos!
Bristol is on my to do list, what it is like for pictures?
Do you need a ladder and what size lense did you use for these?
Cheers :)

Hi Bradley,

Bristol has always been great for photography, even with the inevitable security fence. Head for Winters Lane and take some steps, min 3 step ladder. Park furthest west along the parking area.

Hope this helps.
