I made a briefish visit to Stansted this afternoon to catch the Nordic Global MD11 as I hadnt got a pic of one and managed a few other photos while I was there, here's a selection:
firstly a couple of the Nordic Global MD-11, OH-NGB, a very uninspiring colour scheme

and as it climbed away towards the setting sun it gave about the best possible picture of an all white aircraft that I could manage:

a Cargolux B747-8F, LX-VCV arrived as well (there was another due after dark):

Etihad Regional Saab about to touch down (these replaced the Air Berlin flights about 3 months ago now)

and as it prepared to leave the runway

one that might have been okay for this month's SPOTM:

And sometimes it just doesn't work out for you! There was an An124 parked over by the diamond hangar, I had been told it wasnt in a good position for photos and that was very true indeed, this was the view from the mound

then I went off to a spot on the approach to try out some sunset shots:
FedEx MD-11 disturbing a few birds:

and another of the same MD-11 right into sun and just above the tree line:

then a Ryanair 737 in the same position after the sun had dropped below the horizon:

then I looked up and saw this about to happen, a Ryanair B737 with the dark (and light) side of the moon, which reminds me the new floyd album is out in 2 weeks, can't wait
