Spent a long weekend at Antalya from Saturday 20th to Monday 22nd September. Excellent weekend with temperatures in the low 30's and lots of interesting Russian/CIS movements. Here are some of the highlights

Love that Ifly colourscheme and nice to see a Tu-134 still flying outside Russia. Great spot, would thoroughly recommend it.
Denis.

Great set Denis. I love Antalya. We only managed 2 half days there in 2013 but saw loads of great stuff. We never managed to get a vantage point on the ground and I am interested how you got the approach shots with mountain in background. We ended up between two greenhouses on 36C approach. We went up a derelict building at one point and quickly scarpered when the security were stood outside their watchtower pointing to us ! A challenging airport with high rewards.

Fantastic to see the Tu-134! Yak-42 isn't bad either.

The ground shots are taken immediately outside the right hand side of Terminal 2 which looks out on 18L/36R. This is good in the afternoons when the sun is behind you in this position. I spent both afternoons here on Saturday and Sunday and was observed but untroubled by security staff. The Ifly A330 is taken airside from the terminal as I waited for my (thankfully delayed) TCX flight back to Gatwick on Monday.
The approach shots with the mountains in the background are quite probably taken from that same derelict building you mentioned yourself. This is at the side of the airport near the threshold of 36R and is as you mentioned abeam from one of the airport's watchtowers. Thankfully while I was there the watchtower was unoccupied but I did use the location sparingly i.e. only when something good was coming.
The other shots were taken amongst the greenhouses on the 36C approach, much to the amusement/bewilderment of some of the locals.
Denis.

Superb shots. As mentioned by others the ground shots (particularly the 134) are fantastic. A location high on my hit list!

Another thumbs up for that Crusty shot.
Great set, hardly recognised any of those airlines - Sunday Airlines, who on earth are they?

and watching FR24 the aircraft are about 4 miles out to sea and turn onto base leg opposite our hotel when they are landing from the south, I don't expect to get any photos

Yes the aircraft are too high for decent photos coming over the beach by the hotels. Car hire is reasonable however (circa £20 a day) and well worth the money for getting to the various vantage points nearer in on the approach. Also bear in mind that they change the runway direction daily (anytime from 1100 onwards) and so if you stay at the beach you will probably be seeing (even higher) departures for most of the day!
Denis.

Thanks Denis, will bear that in mind if I can persuade the wife to allow me a day out, don't think she will be very interested in the aircraft
