Soaked at Stansted

Post by jonf45 » Tue Jun 24, 2014 12:14 pm

Hi,
ventured down to Stansted yesterday afternoon for the Dubai 737s and the freight stuff. Was nice for about an hour, then thunder and lightning!!! Not much protection there, so got absolutely soaked! Stayed for about an hour after the storm, but more was to follow so legged it to the dryness of Burger king at the services!!!
A few before it was too dark/torrential.....

quite a contrast in the weather - well done for braving it as long as you did. Some nice results - I particularly like the Dundee flight, with the sunny aircraft with a nice dark contrasy sky behind. Bearing in mind what the contrasy sky dumped on you, your feelings might be slightly different about it though.

thanks for sharing the pics

I like the EZY A320 creating clouds of spray with its reversers too.

I was toying with the idea of popping across to Stansted on Monday - glad I didn't on hearing how wet it was!

Nice photos though!
