I spent yesterday morning at the helicopter landing field for Royal Ascot (yesterday was Ladies' Day), thanks to Peter (blackdog) for giving me info on how to find it - was nice to meet you

Wow, well that definitely confirms it's well worth a day's shooting. Purely for the helicopters of course

definitely was. some rather attractive subjects in an unusual setting. Also had the sky been clear some of the Heathrow traffic is close by and finally I saw a couple of red kites flying around

Good set Andy and a long day with a lot of work to get them I like nearly all of them

thanks, just seen your comment while I was looking for something else. It was a long day due in part to the M25 being in long stay car park mode but well worth it and a day I shall remember for quite some time, i like helicopters but rarely see this many in a month let alone one day

a year ago this week I went to the helicopter landing field at Royal Ascot for the Ladies Day arrivals, unfortunately I can't make it this year but is anybody going to be there to capture the arrivals for the forum?
2 hours or so of very intense helicopter activity
