Does much parting out happen at Norwich? Can't say I've noticed much when I've been there.

Well no not really ! although there has recently been a new dedicated site set up in association with KLM UK ! only one airframe has passed through this new facility so far ! the second is in there at the moment and there is another airframe apparently awaiting it's chance to be destroyed ! not including this recent (possible candidate) arrival ??? confusing . com !!

Hi
Fokkers are usually stored/dismantled at either Maastrict or Woensdrecht,
but if KL/an affiliate are starting up it may well be at Norwich.
Seems crazy to me there are old propliners still trundling around in South America
and they are breaking 15 year old a/c for parts in the deserts of the U.S.
have fun

Thanks Keith, interesting to know.

Terry, yes, it does seem bizarre. I believe some A318s didn't even make it to 3 years old before being parted out! As I'm sure you know, it's all down to the economics of an a/c not in demand full of parts that are.

Thanks for those comments gents ! Yes the whole airframe/breaking world seems a mystery ??? This airframe has been stored at Saarbrucken recently !

At last, after a twelve day wait, this aircraft was moved to a different location offering better photographic challenges ! ......
