"Volga 1890" An-124 Departs Prestwick @ 23:50!

After spending a fantastic afternoon airside at Prestwick for the DC-3, I took the gamble that one of the two Antonov's would move, so I set up camp in the car & went for a wee sleep. My gamble paid off and at no later than 23:50 she finally lined up on runway 30 and set for the sky bound for Venezuela.

Stunning pics.
Can remember back in 2009 myself and my mates arrived at Donington at tea-time fora weekend of BTCC action,just after a heavy downpour.
Got out the car and started pitching the tents when the sky went very dark,looked up thinking it was gonna chuck it down again only to see one of these beggars just taking off.Gave me the fear.
Unfortunately camera was at the bottom of my rucsack
