Stacking 'em up at Edinburgh...

Something a little different with the normal aircraft, a spotting location overview of what you can see in 30 mins at Edinburgh.
It sometimes pays to think outside the box, the irony of it was when I was scoffed at by someone sporting a large lens "Do you not have a bigger lens?" I showed them the 500mm and said don't need it!

I'm glad it isn't really like that, but it does feel like it some times.
Brilliantly done.

Serious infringement of minimum separation I would say.

I like the photo alot a good take on Edinburgh.
Only shame for me is the Brussels Airlines being the exotic plane of the group, hopefully this will improve overtime. GOOD WORK!!

Thanks Dan, I set the camera atop a tripod with a wide angle lens (18mm) & made sure it would not move during the image capture (30 mins in my case) I then took several photos of each aircraft as they passed the frame. Once the easy bit was out the way it was back home to shove them together using blood, sweat & photoshop. Many layers later and some fine polishing the above image is what you get.
I took inspiration from Micheal Kelley's 8 hours of LAX, however in my image all the aircraft are in the exact positions they were taken in as opposed to the exaggerated angles in his.
Martyn.

The Airport should use a picture like that to advertise, have it on one of the Terminal walls etc.
