By the way,

am I right in thinking that the Maule you mentioned is G-TAFC? She's a beauty.

That's the one,and you're right - she's very nice.

I hope to see more amphibious aircraft here in the future - the airport is right next to Lough Erne and there are plans for a slipway which will only be a few hundred metres from one of the taxi ways.

There's a C182 Amphibian based at Blackbushe, G-ESSL which is in an attractive blue scheme

This fella was a regular at perth (Scone) for maintenance. Operated from the Clyde in Glasgow by Loch Lomond Seaplanes to Oban twice a day, or at least it was, as well as charter and ad hoc work.

I have a couple of shots of it at Perth I will try and dig out.

Here she is attending a 'Seaplane Fly-in' which was held at a venue near Enniskillen last May.The aircraft also attended a RNLI demo the same weekend which gave me another chance to see them on the water. It is hoped the seaplanes will return in 2011.

Hi Martin,

and there's G-DRAM C172, that I've seen up in Scotland, along with G-WATR, the lovely Husky at Loch Earn, not forgetting Buttercup (more commonly known as G-BWUB) the beautiful Cub, also at Loch Earn.

Over at Perth there used to be another Husky that had been bought by Buttercup's owner, showing as SE-KBU.

I'd be really interested if we could create a list of any airframe in the UK that gets its belly or floats wet!

I'll remember a few more I'm sure!

Hi Vortex,

from your list the ones I need to shoot are ;

EI-COY Super Cub
G-BOLL Lake
G-CCCW Osprey

I presume the Cubs based at your locale?

Any idea's where the others are operated from?

Is PH-DUK operated in the UK, as I last saw her at Lelystad?

Looks like I'll be hunting over the summer months.

EI-COY operates from Donegal in Ireland. It doesn't have wheels within the floats so is restricted to water only.

G-BOLL is reg'd to an owner in Portrush, but i havn't seen it around for ages (about two years?).

G-CCCW is England based i think - been over at Enniskillen twice now.

PH-DUK came from Holland to the fly-in,so i presume it is based and operated from there.
