Post by mark17 » Fri Nov 02, 2012 9:05 pm

Hi all,
Not posted for ages due to being at various military bases but today i fancied a couple of hours at my local southside.
I had a nightmare with the camera playing up with various error messages, got home to find my dust spots are breeding and the aircraft i went to see a hair managed to get itself right across the picture.

Anyhows a few pictures from a cold but basked in great light Manchester for a change

Hi Mark.

Nice set, with great livery variations etc.

Bit of a nightmare with your lens FOD... but fear not... happens to us all mate.....

Re: image quality, I have viewed your images both here and on your Flickr site, and all seem spot on to me, very clear and natural.

Kind regards.

Marcus.

Thanks for that Marcus,I have had a look on the computer I loaded them to and they do look overly sharp!
Think I may need to tone my screen res down a little.
Thanks
Mark

Hi mate.

Generally for posting here, I take the image from Flickr, resize to 1200 x 800, then upload to Photobucket as it gives a far better image than a direct link to say Flickr - but that works for me, but you know the saying, it may not suit others. My last posted image of the A319 on approach to Newcastle was done this way, and seems to be as sharp as I could expect.

That said, I viewed some of my images on another PC/monitor recently....... and the images look dreadful!!

A few people seem to have had the same problems, losing resolution and quality depending on which way people do it, but it's just one of those things.

Kind regards.

Marcus.
