Emirates operated a 777 on this route as a special "one off" for the airports 75th birthdat celebrations, but today saw the first of regular 777 operations.

Emirates 35 from Dubai (A6-ECZ) about to vacate runway 25 and receive a water cannon salute

Emirate 36 (A6-ECZ)rotating off 25 for the trip home to Dubai

There will be days with better light - but you have to snap the first visit !
