Bristol Airport 6 May inc first Dreamliner passenger flight

Post by seacat192 » Sun May 07, 2017 10:14 am

Hi

Like many others, I went to Bristol Airport to photograph the inaugural passenger carrying flight from Bristol to Cancun. I got there early (think I was the first in fact), but Winters Lane soon filled up with parked cars with the occupants eager to get their photos.

A cold day with a strong wind, overcast with sunny spells too, but at least it stayed dry!

Here are a few piccies from the day - C&C welcome to help me improve my photography:

That's an excellent set of shots Roger, I've really enjoyed looking through them. :thumb:

Cracking shots Roger!!

I was going to go but as its a sort of local airport, I decided to get a shot on a normal day as I was concerned it might be rammed from the early hours (but sounds like it wasn't anyway!) the TUI 757's are my interest, nice to see a couple of shots of those as well, and the NEOS 737 which is different from the regulars

Is that the Aer Lingus white ATR?? Still not painted?

Thanks James

I was tempted to wait further on in to the season, but with the forecast being for dry weather I booked the weekend off from being on call and headed up - I plan to go and see the flights again when it's (hopefully) sunnier!

I went to BRS a few weeks ago as well, and the 757s were still marked as Thomson then so guessing there must have been a shuffle around in the fleet.

Yes, it was an Aer Lingus/Stobart Air ATR - saw one of those the other week as well!

Thanks again
Roger
