I do like the landing TBM, they seem to be becoming as popular as the PC12 in the UK

It sounds like you are having Depth of Field problems.
If you are using a zoom lens at its maximum setting the depth of field is short. If you use a larger aperture ie f8 or f11 this should help.
There are several articles about this online which explain the technicalities much better than I can !

Keith the photos posted seem okay so assume these are not included images you are concerned about? Depth of field is a potential but you seem to be using adequate f stops to avoid anything too significant even at the long end of the lens. Using selective auto focus points could effectively put one portion of the aircraft in focus with the resulting drop off in focus across the body. An uneven panning could result in a distorton. That said looking at your Flickr you have some really nice shots and seem really competent in producing good shots. I would just put the lens and camera through their paces. Testing static and moving shots trying out the range of f stops and individual focus points. It may be the only way to rule out any calibration/focus error that can potentially creep into a lens.

Well tried everything that was said and still the same so called company that i bought it from and they are picking it up on mon and sending another one out to me they said it sounds like misalignment of the lens so just wait and see how this other one is.
