Manchester - breaking the rules ?

I once heard someone say to me that you should never take a photograph of an aircraft that is going away from you.. I don't agree.

certainly works really well on the first two with reflection on the fuselages and the moody sky behind Mike. The others are pretty handy as wrll.

Yes, absolutely nothing wrong with those! Never heard that said myself to be honest, I've taken a couple of rear end shot's, especially if better (I.E Bristol takeoffs better to photo the back or risk getting the fence in the way if you don't have steps) or if the sun is behind etc.

When it comes to photography most rules can be broken to great effect at times - if there is such a "rule" then this was one of those times.
Really loving the A380 shot.

Hi thats the First time i have heard that Said which is totally untrue 3/4 rear shots are always great the only thing i can see wrong and this is constructive criticism is that they are over processed looks like too much contrast has been added.Nice composistion thoug ! Martin

I get where you're coming from,, and to be honest I don't usually give them as much punch as that. but truth is - only 4 of them have any boosted contrast at all, can you guess which ones !! ? The rest get their image brightness from using a polarizer.
