As it was such a lovely day I decided to go for a walk down the lane in my lunch hour and attempt to photograph some wildlife. Unfortunately the wildlife must have gone off somewhere on its own lunch break. Eventually a distant droning alerted me that there maybe something interesting in the sky. After searching for a couple of minutes I eventually saw a tiny speck that full zoom and cropping reveal to be:

An An-12! :) Possibly UR-DWF because that's the only one I can find with a matching colour scheme after trawling through the Google image search results for "An-12".

Hi guys,

My first posting on the OTT thread. Living in Basildon, I'm located on the flight path for Heathrow arrivals when RWY's 27L & 27R are in use, Stansted departures when RWY 22 is in use and London City departures when either RWY 09 or 27 is in use. I also have some A/C for Southend go OTT. In addition, I get a lot of European departures and arrivals to destinations farther afield at high level.

First off, a shot showing my view of the Heathrow arrivals. This was shot at a focal length of 55mm with no cropping.
