It is indeed... particularly with the jet being at that height...
That Plane Finder App lost me several hours whilst in a hotel last week at Heathrow that over looked the runway. Instead of studying, I ended up watching the ac going past the window and thinking "I wonder where that's going" every 30 secs! Plane Finder had the answers

Are they cropped? I use 400mm and don't get shots like that overhead.

You'd need a 1200mm lens to get shots like that without cropping.
