London City

Post by IndiaEcho » Sun Sep 04, 2011 7:49 pm

Hello

I had a few hours to kill in London on Friday, so took advantage of the excellent weather to spend some time at London City.

The reason I went was to see one of the BA A318s, and G-EUNB left for Shannon and New York shortly after I arrived:-

The Cityflyer Embraers were busy, including G-LCYN, the 700th Embraer Jet:-

The other main carrier is Cityjet, with RJ85s and Fokker 50s such as OO-VLL on her way to Rotterdam:-

There are plenty of other interesting visitors, including Blue Islands ATR-42 G-ISLF which operates a service to Jersey:-

Skywork 328 HB-AES provided some colour as the light faded:-

Another interesting 328 was Sun Air example OY-NCA:-

I hope the photos are of interest - shed loads more at http://www.flickr.com/photos/indiaecho/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks for the feedback.

The photos were taken from a spot across the dock from the airport. To get there, take the DLR to Prince Regent station, and as you get off the train you will see where to go - you just walk down to the water, and you can look across to the airport. There are seats to sit on, and it is a very enjoyable spot on a nice day.
