Civilian Aviation

Is there anyone here that uses either D810 or D780 that would vouch that either or both are good for aviation photography?

I know the D810 is older and more pixels but the D780 is newer, semi mirrorless software and features .. I have done some reading on both but obviously in this field of photography any reviews are slim and scarce!

Any input I would greatly appreciate

These are with D810 which I also use for motorsport.
It's really a landscape/studio camera as the AF is not blindingly fast but It's more than up to the job if you take a more considered approach rather than 'spray and pray'.
