Courtesy of Howard Curtis a list of the Daks at Duxford. I understand that N103NA and LN-WND went tech and didn't participate in the Normandy paradrop. Additionally, I spotted G-ANAF overfly Somerset on Thursday evening and it may have joined the others in France along with ZA947.

that's correct re the two that went tech Neil, N103NA flew out today to join the fleet but I've not seen anything re LN-WND. That had nasty engine problems during a fling on Wednesday morning and made a swift return to Duxford where it landed initially on one engine due to low oil pressure on t'other but then had to shut down the other due to oil spewing out as he was about to touch down. Rolled along for a while then swung onto the grass. Sad for them coming all that way and then missing the main event. LN-WND's engineers (with help from the SallyB team ) got one engine fixed on Tuesday (the one with the oil pressure problem) but the other one was unresolved when I left.
N103NA had problems on start up but they got it going before chucking out time but it still sounded a bit rough when I left.

I've loaded my pics of the Daks at Duxford onto Flickr in this album: https://www.flickr.com/photos/125470545 ... 8973562003
there's at least one of every aircraft that was there on Wednesday.

If anyone needs the full list as seen crossing the coast near Beachy Head then here it is. Excuse basic types(!)

Although quite strung out it was a sight and sound to behold as well as a somewhat moving occasion.

I did take photographs but only on a shortish lens so quality not good and conditions not that great either.
