Westacott Farm, Devon - 17 March 2013

Post by VC-10 » Thu Mar 21, 2013 11:06 am

Hi

Just looking for any information on a Piper Cub in US Air Force colours that was on the ground at Westacott Farm, Coldridge, north Devon on Sunday 17 March 2013.

G-BHPK looks probable but I was unable to confirm the serial number on the tail and its not a Devon-based aircraft.

Many thanks

John

According to http://www.laasdata.com/ports-of-call/p ... php?c=1103" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; G-AYPM is based and looking on the net, that's in US colours although according the CAA website, it's recently been reg'd to an address on Leicestershire

Thanks Martin.

I had looked up the residents on LAAS and should have mentioned that. G-AYPM according to Flickr had a yellow livery when it moved up to Leicestershire.

The visitor was green with three white stripes on the top of the wing and the US 'roundel' on the side. Apart from G-BHPK, I've also come across G-BDHK in GINFO. It is similar but looks a browner shade.

It was a good thought though based on what I wrote.

Cheers

Hi John

Almost certainly G-AKIB registered to Richard Horner, who was also the registered keeper of G-AYPM.
