Lovely reminder of yesteryear. I only went to Heathrow a handful of times but most of these are typical of the era for me. The Zaire 727 is a little piece of rocking horse **** though.

AHH... the good old days of a viewing area. Nice nostalgia.
Second the Zaire B727
Pete.

A great set of shots, love the dinky SAS DC-9.

The DC-8 still has a classic look. Always thought it looked better than a B707

DC-9-21 the rocket ship, 747-300 and SP. This is what Heathrow was all about. Feel the noise.

Great set of photos. I spent some time there during 1977/8 taking photos and when detached from Northolt to look after the HS125s while our runway was being resurfaced.

Ah, the memories!
The 70's was my era when would join the masses on the Queens Building rooftop and twist between both parallel runways and try to pole of the bizjets over by the Fields hangar.
Thanks for sharing your super captures and creating fond memories
