Post your Northwest Airlines

Post by Silverback » Fri Oct 29, 2010 3:29 pm

With the Delta re-branding almost complete, I thought this might prove an interesting topic. Guess the "norm" is 3 shots per post so here's 3 to start us off:

One place that I always think of when anyone mentions Northwest is Amsterdam, if you've been you'll understand!

Not the best shot, but it was taken a while back (11-10-2008)

I'll be impressed if anyone can get more NWA in one shot ! :thumbs:

Not the best unfortunately, due to having to shoot through tinted glass, but a flavour anyway.

Unfortunately I wasn't a spotter back then in '86 - well I flew to New York via Shannon in June/July '86 and started my hobby in September '86 - I flew from Prestwick on the Boeing 747 of an Airline known as Northwest Orient. When did Northwest Orient rebrand to Northwest?

I'm not sure when they re-branded,I've just read this but it doesn't seem to mention it :- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northwest_Airlines" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

An interesting read anyway !

The "Orient" title was dropped after their merger with Republic Airlines in October 1986.

Thanks,
