G-AOVS Bristol Britannia 312F @ Luton 16/04/21

Went to see Amy this evening and was pleasantly surprised to find that she now resides in a much more accessible location to previously, right next to the fence.

What a dreadfully sad sight that is, someone needs to end her misery before she starts to look any worse.

Thanks for posting them Oz, I had no idea that she was still there. :(

If you go on Google maps and zoom in (Sat view)

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.87951 ... a=!3m1!1e3

it is North East side of airport in fire training area. I assume it has been moved closer to fence now.

Interesting pictures by the way. Does anyone know why the hulk was falsely marked as "G-BRAC" ?
This was officially allocated to another frame.

Pete.

Pretty much next to the fire trainer. If you walk the footpath from Wigmore Valley Park that runs along the eastern edge of the airport you can't miss it.

'Amy' was indeed named on G-BRAC which was lost at Boston in 1980. The by-then grounded G-AOVS was re-titled 'REDAIR' and 'Amy' so that the BBC TV series 'Buccaneer' could be completed using this aircraft for static shots.
My recently published book 'Hail the Bus-Stop Britannia - A History of Redcoat' explains all and may be of interest to you

Such a pitiful sight :(
I remember seeing her in better times with Lloyd International and IAS Cargo Airline in the 70's.
Thanks for sharing your pics
