Continuing with re-edits from Heathrow this time from 30th August 1971.
Olympic Boeing 727-284 SX-CBA 'Mount Olympus'. If I remember correctly image taken from the top storey or one of the car parks.

Thanks Stephen, these bring back happy memories, particularly the Sabena 707, as they punctually past over my Pennine home each evening at 6pm on their way to New York. Sabena always gave their reg as their call sign. Happy days.

lovely memories Stephen - lots of proper aeroplanes.

Would give anything for a location like that for 28R departures these days - and we took it all for granted then

BEA V951 Vanguard G-APEC final for runway 28R. Sadly, this aircraft crashed just over a month later, on Saturday 2nd October 1971, close to Aarsele, Belgium, killing all 65 passengers and crew on board.

Still looking great. Interesting to see they were still using runway caravans in those days.
