I flew on Brymon Dash-7's (G-BRYA,BB,BC) in and out of the VERY short runway at Unst in Shetland several times.
The slow turning propellers, the heavy load of oily's going home for their fortnight off, the steep approaches onto what looked like a postage stamp........ah, these were the days!!!!
A vastly under-rated aircraft, IMHO.
Then of course came the Dash-8.....

Thanks for posting, brings back memories of the Brymon examples in and out of Birmingham in the Mid90s as I started spotting. Despite being in production for 13years, only 113 were built but the design did lead to the more successful DHC8.

The only ones I flew in were Hawaiian Airlines to and from Molokai.
