In and out of Kai Tak 1976

Post by waghorn41 » Fri Jun 12, 2020 7:03 pm

(in)famous for its over the roof tops approach and departure Kai Tak's single runway ran from the buildings of Kowloon out into the harbour, The harbour approach/departure was a lot less demanding :D
Just to give you a flavour of those far off days, now Kai Tak has gone, here's a few photos from those heady days. All photos taken from the same place - my room. Apologies for the quality but the negs are 44 years old.

Nice memories! So glad I managed to get out there before it closed. Spectacular place.
