Last Comet at Edinburgh

Post by Uuoret » Tue Aug 27, 2019 2:18 pm

Another couple of poor shots, but they record the arrival and departure of the very last Comet at Edinburgh.

It was a Comet 4B. It was flown out empty to be scrapped at Lasham by Captains Bob Balls and Phil Bresters (I wonder why I never forgot that loadsheet....??). They were a couple of mavericks and were always up to some high jinks. In the Servisair Ops Room, they threatened to fly this Comet under the Forth Road Bridge before going off to Lasham, but obviously thought better of it.
