Continuing my ramblings, for anyone car touring in Canada. All sites, easily found on road maps or signage.
No dedicated viewing, all viewed through/over the fence.
Pictures not always great, but my memories. 2010
So onto Vancouver Island.
The main airport, Victoria International is located at Sidney. Excellent museum here, already covered in

Likely to see about 40 to 50 aircraft. Westjet B737, AC DHC8, Fedex Cessna 208, & biz-jets. Base for VIH Helicopters.
Home for Viking who have the DHC licence and build new Twin Otters.

Moving onto Victoria harbour - of course - a seaplane base. Apart from the Canadians, you see Kenmore AL (USA).
At anytime, likely to see 6 - 8 aircraft.
DHC2 Beaver Baxter C-FWAC Victoria
DHC6 Twin Otter West Coast C-FMHR Victoria
DHC2 Beaver Kenmore N1018U Victoria
DHC2 Beaver Kenmore N9744T Victoria
Sproat Lake - famous for the Coulson operated Martin Mars fire fighting aircraft. They were open for tourist tours, but for me in late season - closed.
So pictures are record of two unique aircraft.

Nearby, is Alberni Valley airfield. Saw 3 lights, no pictures.
Tofino - again harbour seaplanes.
Cessna 180 Tofino Air C-GYFO Tofino
DHC2 Beaver Tofino Air C-GFLT Tofino
Cessna 185 Tofino Seafari C-GYJX Tofino
Up the East coast to Nanaimo. About 40 lights. Highlights were a Catalina, and a Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane.

Christavia C-IDEG Nanaimo
S-64E Erickson C-GJRY 5 Nanaimo
S-64E Erickson C-GJRY 7 Nanaimo (2)
Still East coast moving onto Comox - military base.
There is a small civil area, but nothing based. I saw a B1900 and a PA-31.
For the military - I saw several C-115 Buffalo, CP-140 Aurora, and C-149 Cormorant.
There is an excellent museum here. (small charge), but the actual aircraft park, (short distance up the road) is free and contains some gems -
C107 Argus, DC3, CT114 Tutor, Vertol & Piasecki helicopters, C121 Tracker, CF100 etc.
Beech 1900 Central Mountain Air C-FCMO Comox
Finally, onto Campbell River. First, another seaplane base, super to walk around, no fences.
Logged a dozen.
Beech 3NM VIA C-FGNR 2 Campbell River SB
DHC3 Otter VIA C-GHAG Campbell River SB
DHC2 Beaver C-FIGF Campbell River SB
DHC2 Beaver C-FWCA Campbell River SB
Cessna 180 C-FLTD Campbell River SB
DHC2 Beaver C-FFAQ Campbell River SB
There is also an airfield nearby. Logged about 20 aircraft. Most interesting was this DC3.
DC3 N877MG 2 Campbell River
Lovely island to visit, so much to see as a tourist, car ferry simple to use and quick.
Thanks for looking.
Pete.

superb Pete, I went past Nainamo but being on a coach I didn't have your flexibility unfortunately. If I go back I shall have to hire a car for a day or two.
thanks for sharing them even if it did make me envious

Fabulous selection of a/c. I'd love to have seen the Skycrane depart.
