Re: Zurich Nostalgia - Part 2
Another vote to see part 3 from me. Great to reminisce over these, all from the early 90s I think? Good to see the Malev Tu-134 and Deutsche BA Saab 2000.
Re: Zurich Nostalgia - Part 2
These are wonderful shots, a part 3 would be great.
Re: Zurich Nostalgia - Part 2
Nice to see.
My first visit to Zurich was early 90's. The viewing area and car parks gave a good view of most things.
I remember loads of Swiss and Tyrolean parked just left of the viewing area, and the two DC3 Air Classic. The light a/c park at far end had more them days too.
Now the newest terminal means much is hidden until it moves.
Happy days.
Pete.

Glad you're all enjoing the pics - I'll scan the rest soon.
I made two visits to ZRH in 1995 & 1996 flying in/out from GCI on staff travel tickets on Crossair's Saab 340, Avro RJ100 & best of all an empty positioning flight on a Saab 2000.
I remember being amazed at the differing types of aviation activity going on, everything from wide bodies to single engined light aircraft & even a para jump over the airfield - you won't see that at LHR! Great times.

Re: Zurich Nostalgia - Part 2
That's still what Zurich is like, well apart from the para jump, it's great to see the light GA types mixing it with the big boys
