Given reference to center tank on gauges has to be American so DC6 or DC7?

It's got 4 engines, a nose wheel and is early 50s vintage - my guess is a DC-6 of Air Atlantique?

I agree - it does look old. I was in the Trident the other day as well - much the same. Seeing them both makes me feel a bit old as well!

I also never thought of it being a jet!On the other hand it doesn't quite look 1940's design but it certainly looks worn
Always loved these with turbojet engines with"fins" at rear of them

Designed in the '50s ,
but speedbrake , park brake , throtts , start , flap , and gear levers all very nearly the same as the 10,000 737 delivered to SW days ago .
Don't re-invent the wheel , and if it ain't bust , don't fix it .
