As folks are enjoying teasers - who remembers or can guess anything about this prop, scanned from slides ?

Pete.

Great Challenge LondonEye ! DC-4 / C54 ... 1960's parked with one engine missing ? UK or overseas ? ... I don't think it's one of the Carvair conversions ?? If it's UK then I would go for Coventry, Southend, Stansted, not Panshanger as they were DC-4M's ....

Thai flag on fin. A little research suggests HS-VGZ at Southend (although was allocated G-BBVN).

Well done Nighthawke. The Thai flag was the giveaway.
Taken at Southend circa 1974 / 75.
HS-VGZ was allocated G-BBVN, and sold as LN-NAC but neither regs were worn.
Sadly rotted and was scrapped in May 1977.
I know it's scanned from a slide, but it would have been nice to have a better camera in them days, some of the gems seen !

Pete.
