Very sad to see this airline go as have happy memories of flying with them on both "Holiday" & Military charters. Always found the aircraft clean, the crew polite & never suffered a severe delay with them.

Here's G-AOVT at Duxford taken sometime in the late 80's after a Mildenhall air show, I saw them all when they were in service but this is the only one I managed to capture on film.

Sad to see Monarch go. I grew up in Luton with my dad taking me to the spectators car park at the airport in the 80s/early 90s, so I've got many memories of seeing Monarch 737s and 757s in the old livery and I know a few people who worked for Monarch. Unfortunately I don't have any photos from back then, but here are some from the digital camera age:

Firstly some randoms from trips to the fence at Luton:

G-MONK ready to take us to Friedrichshafen.

G-MRJK - 11/01/2014 - Luton - This photo was used on Monarch's Facebook page and seems like a good way to end my post marking Monarch's departure.

G-OZBB taxing in at Blackpool very early in the morning in April 1998 to pick charter passengers up- Monarch were occasional visitors to Blackpool, and they also ran short lived scheduled services (Malaga was one destination if I remember right) round about 2002.

I've thrown a recent one in as well- a pair at Manchester 17 July 2017- my last Monarch picture.

Anyone ever get any pictures of the DC-10? Once tried at Edinburgh but I was having Camera trouble and ruined the photo I'm afraid.

Another one from the 1980s - typical Manchester scene from that period. Not quite sure which 757 this one is.
