Scanning some old photos came across these all taken one day back in 1975. Thought it would be nostalgic to see a typical day.
Excuse quality, some faded and all were printed on a dimpled paper, so you will see granulation if enlarged.
Note the biz-jets over by the Hunting hangar.
Pete.

Re: Heathrow 21 June 1975 a typical day
Fabulous! Another post showing the wider variety of types that used to around, and the sleek and colourful colourshemes of the era. I'm a massive DC-8 fan, so I love the selection here. But much of the rest is of interest too, e.g. the Gulf Air VC-10, Sabena and Saudia 707s, and the CSA Tu-134 is a cracker. I wasn't old enough to start this hobby until 1985 - when I see posts like this I wish I was older!

other aircraft gems, some of which are long forgotten and then the scenery, south side of Heathrow was so rural compared to today!

For someone who loves the lines of the DC-8, this post is just too much to take!!!
I'm off to sit down in a dark room for ten minutes!!
Great post. Presumably all taken from the much missed Queen's Building?
