I hope I've posted this in the correct area. If not please move it to the apprioate area.
I don't have a lot to go on and as you see the photograph isn't very good. Someone had done some sort
of editing and turned it into what he thought was a work of art.
If you look at the engine closest to you you'll notice a " hump " at the top of the cowl. That might be
the best clue out of the shot and I hope someone has an idea what it is. Then again if you compare that
cowl to the one furthest away it could be an optical illusion. The more I compare both the more I think there's a hump.
There might be a second clue. Look at the base of the prop not far from the shaft. It seems for lack of a better term " trimmed " or " shaved "
to give it a different shape and not flowing as would be usual.
If you know I thank you.
If not.... I understand.

The propeller and spinner look like that of an early connie.
Sorry it's not a definitive answer.

Hi Wingnut
I think Brad has got it spot on - looks like a Constellation to me also.
Have a peek at this thread on the "sister" military site - first few shots will give you a good idea of why we think "Connie".

To my mind the picture you posted does look like a photo of an actual oil painting as opposed to a digital edit of a photograph.

Re: Unknown ( need ID help )
It's a photo of a painting of the port engines of a Constellation, the artist hasn't got the angle of the props quite right though.
I hope that helps.
I hope that helps.

Wow... you guys are good. I think you nailed it.
Funny I didn't pick up on the painting. I thought it was a digital conversion but now I notice the switch on the wall.
A lot of editors have those plug-ins installed.
Thanks for your help...........
