A few very very old scans, used in a post some years ago on another forum, but a little history for those who like such things !! whilst the scan quality is not too good I hope you will agree the content is much better ??

Hi Keith
The Avro 642 VT-AFM joined the RAF in 1939 when it was impressed as L9166. It didn't last long though as it was broken up at Delhi in 1940.
If you already know this, I'll wind my neck in!
Cheers

Thank you Twinpin ! Yes as I understand it collided with a lorry in Delhi and whilst being repaired .... termite (black beetle) damage to the wooden structure of the wings was so severe it was declared unserviceable ! Such a shame for a 'one off' aircraft ??
