They're all fabulous aircraft, but an An-8 - if there was a rare beastie of the month competition on here, you would have just won it.

I used to love visiting Sharjah before they cleaned the place up, dont get quite the exotica there now that we used too.

Amazing to think that one of those An-8's escaped Sharjah for Africa even after the type cert was withdrawn.....

Aviation "porn" of the highest order!!!!!

What a collection of hardware! I never got to Sharjah unfortunately. :( . I managed to get to Luanda, Khartoum,Addis and Phenom Pehn whilst working for a post conflict recovery charity, but alas the camera had to stay in the bag, with logging being a decidedly risky business back in the day.

Jealous as hell!!!

Very nice, love all of them! Especially the An-8's!

I have a group on Flickr, if you could add the IL-76's, An-12/8's that would be great! https://www.flickr.com/groups/1935705@N22/

Thanks for the comments guys! Radleigh, yes I'll put them on your Flickr page when i get chance.
apgphoto - yes, sadly it's a shadow of it's former self nowadays. Full of Air Arabia A320's and not much else.

Hi Silkman,

An-8's, 154's, 76's, 18's, a 62 and an SP, I need to take a nap now!

Wonderful stuff.

Regards

Reggie
