All taken from the roof-terrace above the Queen's Buildings a long time ago,I've got older ones but still have to dig them out and scan them.
I love this one for some reason..........
The Qatari 727 was taken from the top of carpark 2,but what great days they were.We didn't really appreciate these roof-terraces until they were gone.

Brings back lots of good memories on top of the car park, I was also able to visit my dad who was in the BAA Police station at the bottom of the car park and get him to buy me lunch in the canteen at the bottom of the tower and then scrounge a lift home.......

Re: A few from Heathrow.
I totally loved the Viewing Gallery on Terminal 2 was it. Fantastic views long may I remember all the times during the Mildy Air Fete trips when afterwords the gang would travel on to LHR that viewing area was well laid out the shop, picnic area. Ah happy days shame it had to go.
Re: A few from Heathrow.
Ah the old days of the downstairs cafe run by Mrs. P and the mini arcade at the end with the shop above T2 and the steps along the balcony with the commentary and daily movements list with 707's 727's tridents' vc10's viscounts, vanguards,125's and fields on the south side.
the 70's pathe news film shot from the tower brings back many memories of getting the 223 bus to the 'Row' and going through the cargo tunnel to south side for the biz when you could drive into BA Cargo and spot from the fence.Long bike rides to hatton x and fields too, all 9 miles round the peri tracks. the BEA Routemasters with the Box on the back and G-LINK LHR-LGW Airlink doing LHR-LGW in 15 minutes much quicker than the 727 green line express that we used to do LTN - LHR - LGW all in one day for a £4.50 Rover ticket.
