Wonderful shots, thanks very much for posting them all.

Hi Frank,

some corkers there mate.

The thing that springs to mind on seeing these shots isn't the colour schemes etc but it's the differences in the engine sounds and that's what I really miss about modern aircraft. OK the latest machines are much more economical to operate, comfortable for the passengers, easier to maintain etc but they just all sound the same. Where as, when I started spotting back in 1974 you could recognise a Vanguard, a VC10, a DC6, without even looking up!

It's funny what you miss isn't it?
