kingfisher comes forth - March 2024

It's taken me until mid March to get get a decent kingfisher photo this year.This one landed about 10 metres away and came much closer, about 3 metres away - and I wasn't even fully camouflaged up in the hide. I thought it would see me as soon as I raised the camera but it didn't so I managed the second photo amongst several.

I was there again yesterday and it landed on the same branch but I didn't see it (I was looking in a different direction, I looked round and there it was but this time it saw me as I swung the camera on to it. I must take my netting next time!
