Bearded Tits, Heybridge Basin Essex, 30-1-15

I and a friend spent an afternoon at Heybridge Basin, Essex (near Maldon) yesterday looking for Bearded tits and we found at least 4 feeding in one of the reed beds, they were quite unworried by our presence and we watched and photographed them for about an hour sometimes just a few feet away from us. Here's a small selection of the photos, it was a bit dull for much of the time so apologies if they are a bit grainy but I was using ISO 1600 much of the time to try to get at least some depth of field:
