The kingfishers are finally active on my local reserve and I've got pics on two visits this week, these were from yesterday (Thursday), there are more on my flickr album.

Beautiful bird and lovely captures as always. I glimpsed one at my local a couple of weeks ago but it landed and flew off immediately - all I could hear were loud voices nattering in the hide as I approached which I presume scared the bird away. Blue flash - gone!
