For my first civy, its not bad. Im now back of to more familiar ground as I am going to start my group build over on FC. I will be back to start my IL-76 conversion shortly. I hope this has inspired a few more people to build.

Its ok but that A380 on the tail looks a bit wonky ;)
It is realy, realy nice. I want it. :D

When I have finished the Super Sabre I might have a go at something over here. My new rule being to only build things where the cockpit can not be seen :)

Now get on whith that F15 :pop:

Its quite a nice kit, it goes together easily and the decals are very detailed. Im glad I tried this kit as my first in the civy world as I quite enjoyed it.

Have you found a spot to put it yet ? It must take up a lot of space. :D

I have had to move my old 32nd revell P-38 to a shelf up stairs so I could put it on top of my small model cabinet. Its to big to go into my narrow cabinet and I have got other things to go into the purpose built large one like my 24th mossi when its done and my nimrods (shhh military  ). Thankfully the IL-76 is smaller and should go in the smaller cabinet, not to sure on the AN-124 yet though. Looks like im going to have to buy another cabinet

Nor did I Mark, but I was 'persuaded' to give the CA model section a go

I have a couple of russians planned for here next, one being a civil conversion from a mil IL-76. The other will be the revell AN -124 which looks like a nice kit, I just dont like all the white styrene

Nice one mate, be interesting to se how the IL-76 pans out. Here's a pic of an AN124 I've started, so far the kit has been a really good fit with no problems with gaps etc.. I'm thinking of doing this in the Volga-Dnepr livery. :)

Thats coming along nice Mark,
what paint have/will you use on the interior? In all the pictures I have seen It looks like a very light interior green but more yellow if you get what I mean.

My pleasure Mike, Im learning as I go so hopefully I will be able to post things that apeal to a civy crowd

Ive got a few projects in the pipeline at the moment, one being my part in the FC group build. I will then be doing a small project that I cant post here or FC as it is a military vehicle and then I will be back with the IL-76 civy conversion.

I am constantly trying to find interesting things to post but as I dont realy know where to look for civy stuff I would realy appreciate some help so if there are any civy builders out there that know how/what/why/where/when about this side of the hobby then please PM me or just post on the section.

I am freindly and very rarely bite, so if you have any ideas or things you want to see on the model section then please post away :thumb:

The section is there for you to descuss the hobby as well as post your builds/finished kits. So if there is a supplier/shop you always use, show you go to, manufacturer you realy like, baragain you have found or just to gloat about your model stash then please thats what the section is here for.

If you are new to CA/FC then have a look over on our fighter control site model section and you can see the sort of things we can do/post.

Cheers Shaun. I painted it as per instruction's..I used Revell's SM360 for the green and a mid grey for the sides
and wished I hadn't now as it just does'nt look right  too late now, so I'll finish it with the nose/rear doors in the closed position
