Hi
This started life as a box of bits that i found which i had built 30+ years ago!!
They were all in a bit of a state, but as id bought a B732 and B752 to do in BA Landor livery, i decided to clean up one of the Tridents and use that as a paint test bed (Im aware no 1C made it into Landor colours, so it became a bit of a what if!!)

Not as easy as it seemed, i ended up having to get some "stronger" paint stripper, and after a week on and off, i managed to get the paint off!!

The problem i found with the Landor scheme is every photo seems to a show a different colour, so in the end i picked what i wanted it to look like and tried to match to that!!
After the various paints tested, i believed Mr Color H326 to be a good match for the Dark blue, and Mr Color H338 light grey and a few drops of H1 White made up a decent Top "pearl"grey.
I had to rebuild the undercarriage as none of that had survived, a part of the fuselage, the undercarriage doors and part of the tail.
It was airbrushed using the aforementioned for the fuselage and H332 and 201 for the wings and silver parts around the edges.
Decals were from 26Decals, i used the BAC 1-11 Landor scheme one for the red stripe, coat of arms etc, and the BA Red Flag Trident set for the windows and other Tridenty bits!!
I had to buy a couple of sets as i broke a couple of decals trying to move them!!
The Tail quadrant was airbrushed as the decal one for the Trident obviously doesnt match the Landor Blue, and i continued the red tail stripe down further using the spare red bit as it didnt quite look right to me being grey!!!
The photos aren't brilliant but its the only bit of sunshine we've had since completing it.
Anyway, a few pics

Very nice and well worth the effort in my opinion. I would say it's an "if only" - would have looked good for real.

That looks great, I remember making the Airfix 1/144th Trident 1 in the BEA red square scheme (and the Airfix Vanguard) when I was a nipper.
